The Feria del Milagro in Illescas came to a triumphant close this Sunday, with a thrilling rejoneo event that kept fans on the edge of their seats until the final bull. With an almost sold-out arena, the audience enjoyed an electrifying afternoon featuring star rejoneadores Andy Cartagena, Diego Ventura, and Leonardo, who faced a well-presented El Capea bull run. The highlight of the day was the fifth bull, which was awarded a lap of honour.

The undisputed star of the afternoon was Diego Ventura, who demonstrated his remarkable skill and deep connection with the crowd, securing four ears after two masterful performances. With a perfectly coordinated team of horses and impeccable timing, the Portuguese-Spanish rider delivered moments of brilliance, particularly with his second bull, whose noble and spirited charge made for an exceptional duel.

Leonardo also left the ring on the shoulders of the fans, having earned an ear from each of his bulls. His elegant and classical style stood out, especially in the sixth bull, where he masterfully controlled the animal with composure and courage. His precise placement of banderillas and a well-executed final thrust secured the approval of the spectators.

Andy Cartagena opened the afternoon with a poised and expressive display, cutting an ear from the first bull of the day. However, a missed kill with the descabello in his second performance cost him a greater prize, despite an otherwise impressive showing that had resonated strongly with the fans.
