Bullfighting Torrejón de Ardoz 2025

Torrejón de Ardoz is one of the commuter towns that has grown most significantly in recent decades. Located just 30 kilometres from Madrid, it has its own identity and operates independently from the capital, while benefiting from being less than half an hour away.

As an autonomous municipality, it celebrates its San Juan festivities at the end of June, including—among many other events—a short but powerful bullfighting fair. Over the course of just three days, three high-quality shows take place. It’s something of an extension of San Isidro, featuring several of the festival’s standout performers.

For example, the fair kicks off on Saturday 21st June with two of the most promising young bullfighters from the Las Ventas season: Borja Jiménez and Víctor Hernández, joined by seasoned maestro Diego Urdiales to open the afternoon. The bulls are a treat too, from the highly regarded Domingo Hernández ranch.

On Sunday 22nd, it’s the turn of rejoneo—bullfighting on horseback. This day brings together two of the most notable absentees from Madrid’s programme: Sergio Galán and Guillermo Hermoso de Mendoza, joined by French star Léa Vicens, who cut an ear at Las Ventas only a few weeks ago. The bulls will come from Benítez Cubero.

The fair concludes on Monday 23rd with a Salamanca-style corrida, featuring bulls from Valdefresno. The line-up includes Emilio de Justo, who cut a significant ear in Madrid on 23rd May; Fernando Adrián, another highlight from San Isidro; and the very young Marco Pérez, who recently fought six novillos at Las Ventas and is now making his debut as a fully fledged matador in the Madrid region—just days after his alternative in the Roman amphitheatre of Nîmes.

This programme is brought to you by Lances de Futuro, led by José María Garzón, in the Torrejón arena, inaugurated in 1996 and with capacity for 5,000 spectators. The venue is spacious, comfortable, and easily accessible—whether by road via the A2 or by suburban train from Madrid. The local station is just a short walk from the fairgrounds where the bullring is located.

Few venues offer such ease and comfort to enjoy your favourite spectacle. And despite its modern design—fit for all kinds of events—the arena still retains a certain traditional charm in both structure and atmosphere. It’s a tempting offer, so all that’s left is for you to decide. What are you waiting for?
