On Friday 12 June, La Glorieta Bullring breaks the calm rhythm of the Castilian spring to host a bullfighting event of enormous importance and depth, where three matadors with completely different styles will face the demanding verdict of the Salamanca fighting bulls.

This is the second edition of the Extraordinary San Juan de Sahagún Bullfight. Far from being a simple festive occasion, the event becomes the stage for a high-level technical and artistic confrontation, well removed from routine line-ups and predictable afternoons.

Morante de la Puebla arrives carrying the weight and responsibility of a matador searching for bullfighting in its purest and most classical form, handling the cape and muleta with a calmness that defies the frantic pace of modern bullfighting.

Alongside him stands Daniel Luque, representing mastery and complete technical authority; a matador at the peak of his powers who controls the ring with geometric precision and arrives in Salamanca determined to make a statement in his formal debut at this arena.

Completing the line-up is Marco Pérez, the young sensation who is no longer waiting for his opportunity but seizing it with determination, facing the immense pressure of confirming his promising start as a matador before his fellow locals and alongside two major stars of the bullfighting world.

This clash of ambitions becomes even more demanding under the rules of a corrida concurso — a competitive bullfight format. Six ranches from Salamanca province, represented by the famous brands of Garcigrande, La Ventana del Puerto, Domingo Hernández, Hermanos García Jiménez, Olga Jiménez and Carmen Lorenzo, will each present one bull to compete for the prestige and honour of their breeding line.
