Both Madrid\u2019s towns inaugurate the bullfighting season of 2017<\/strong><\/h2>\n

January is ending and that means that it\u2019s almost time for the bullfighting season to begin. The towns of Ajalvir and Valdemorillo in Madrid, with just a week of difference, are in charge of starting the annual appointment. Both have presented their fairs these past days.<\/p>\n

Although it\u2019s true that occasionally takes place a previous festival across the Spanish geography, Ajalvir<\/a> is the earliest date of the calendar. It celebrates the Fair of San Blas and this year it does with two festivities: Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 January. The bullfighters S\u00e1nchez Vara (habitual of this fair), C\u00e9sar Valencia and the Colombian Jose Arcila, will fight bulls of D. Alberto Mateos. On Sunday, however, a mixed celebration will take place, with four bulls of Orellana Perdiz for the bullfighters Alberto \u00c1lvarez and Andr\u00e9s Palacios and two steers of D. Antonio L\u00f3pez Gibaja for Amor Rodr\u00edguez, born in Madrid.<\/p>\n

The two days are held the traditional morning bull runnings.<\/p>\n

The next weekend, Valdemorillo<\/a> continues the bullfighting season with its Fair of La Candelaria and San Blas, specifically from 4 to 6 February. This year it\u2019s a tribute to the deceased bullfighter V\u00edctor Barrio, who was its winner in 2015. And the company of the Plaza de Toros, with Tom\u00e1s Entero commanding, recovers the steer\u2019s bullfight and leaves out the bullfighting with horses. Saturday 4 El Cid, Paulita and Fandi\u00f1o will face the bulls of Monte la Ermita; and Sunday 5 the bullfighters Cristian Escribano, Mart\u00edn Escudero and Posada de Maravillas will do the same with bulls of D. Antonio L\u00f3pez Gibaja. The steer\u00b4s bullfight of Monday 6 is from G\u00f3mez Morales fighting bull ranch and will bullfight it Fernando Flores, Andy Younes and Santiago S\u00e1nchez-Mej\u00eda.<\/p>\n

The indoor plaza of La Candelaria, inaugurated in 2003, makes the low temperatures typical of these dates an invalid excuse for not going to Valdemorillo\u2019s Fair.<\/p>\n
